Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How much is my initial franchise fee? 

The initial franchise fee will be between $15,000.00 for your first Franchise, $5,000.00 for a second Franchise and $1,000.00 each for additional Franchise locations. 

2. How much is my initial investment?

The major part of your investment will be in Leasehold Improvements and Equipment.  These costs will range from $150,000.00-$300,000.00, depending on the size of your location, and the amount of equipment that will be deemed necessary.  With pre-opening expenses, opening inventory, and franchise fee added to the above, your estimated initial investment will be between $200,000.00-$350,000.00

3. What training will I get?

Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. will provide in-store as well as business plan training.  The in-store training is an integral part of our business.  All recipes, presentations and procedures that incorporate the concept will be taught.  Internal controls and budgets for a business plan will also be a part of the training process. 

4. What profits can I expect?

Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. cannot provide you with income potential information.  Results will vary from location to location.  However, Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. will provide you with a list of franchisees that you may contact, in order to help your decision process.

5. Will Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. help select my site?

Yes.  Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. will assist you in finding the best location in the area you are seeking.  They will also help you in negotiating the lease with the prospective landlord.

6. Are their opportunities for multiple locations?

Yes.  Opportunities are based on the basis of availability of territory, and availability of financial and operational resources. 

7. Do I pay continual royalty fees?

Yes.   Up to 4% of your Gross Sales will be allocated to Royalty Fees paid on a weekly basis. 

8. What about advertising?

Advertising money will be spent at the Local and Regional levels.  This money will be spent by the franchisee with guidance from the Area Developer.  The Franchise Contract provides for the future development of a combined marketing program.  At that time all Franchise locations will be required to contribute 1% of sales to this program.

9. What is the term of my Franchise Agreement?

The Franchise Agreement is for a 20-year period.

10. What kind of on going support is provided?

After you have opened your first location, Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. personel will be available for numerous types of assistance.  Examples would be, Local Store Marketing Plans, Inventory Controls, Payroll Controls, and Monthly Operational Inspections.

11. Do I have mandated suppliers and vendors for my business?

Yes.  Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. will give you a list of approved products and vendors for your inventory needs.  Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. will also supply you with a list of approved equipment and fixtures for your location.

12. How long does it take to open a location?

All locations are different.  Upon the Landlord having your location in a "vanilla box" condition, you should be able to complete your Leasehold Improvements and Equipment installation in a matter of 45-90 days.

13. Does Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. supply any owner financing?

No.  However, Schroeder's Franchising, Inc. will assist you in finding possible investors or commercial institutes that would have interest in your financial needs.

14. What is Schroeder's New Deli history? 

The Schroeder brothers, John and Charlie opened the original Schroeder's "New Deli" on February 6, 1981.  The restaurant is still in operation at its original location on historic Broad Street in Rome, Georgia.  There is a Franchise located on Martha Berry Blvd. in Rome, and on Cornerstone Way in Calhoun, GA.

15. Where do I go from here?

We are excited about you being a part of the Schroeder's family.  If you like what you have seen and heard today, we would ask that you take the time to read and sign our company's disclosure.  The next step is to fill out our informational paperwork.  Next, we have enclosed a copy of our Franchise Agreement for your reading as well.  While you are reading and investigating this new venture, we need 10 business days to complete our front-end process.  Upon completion of the 10 business days, we can schedule a follow-up meeting to get you in business.
